Functional Testing for the Digestive System

There are many laboratories doing functional gut tests to evaluate the gut microbiome and digestion.  Choosing the appropriate test can sometimes be tricky as some organisms may be missed when they are not tested for.  This is why we take a comprehensive case history before recommending a test that we feel is going to give us the best answers to help you in your journey to become healthier.  The laboratories we use are ones we get consistent results with.  This is important when coming to stool samples as transportation, growth mediums and laboratory procedures have a huge impact on what can be grown or not.  Different technologies are employed by different labs which may influence test results.
